LandMobile solutions are not easily categorized, as each customer has a different goal they are trying to achieve. However, they often have one thing in common - the integration of various products and services to achieve a turn key solution.
Although hard to define, we can classify LandMobile solutions into Mobile, Portable and Fixed.
Mobile solutions are for customers that need voice and/or data on the go. Mobile solutions usually comprise mobile/active antennas, in vehicle installation and integration with DC power sources.
Portable solutions are often used for rapid response deployments. The solution often needs to be as light as possible, quick and easy to set up and function autonomously of any power source usually requiring battery or solar power. Portable solutions differ from mobile in that the user is stationary while connected to the communications service.
Fixed solutions are for customers requiring communications for a permanent or semi-permanent site. Fixed solutions are physically larger and require professional installation by our technicians, adding to the complexity. Although the initial deployment costs are higher than Mobile or Portable, the cost of ongoing communication services is often much lower with the additional benefit of support for more users and faster speeds.
